Luna Leggings donates to Project Night Night!
Posted on January 17th, 2013
Having the opportunity to hand-deliver 750 pairs of Luna Leggings to the founder of Project Night Night, Kendra Stitt Robins, with my two daughters proved to be such a rewarding experience. With such focus on receiving gifts over the holidays, enjoying the ‘Gift of Giving’ was so refreshing!
I LOVED sharing this with my girls- having them actually understand where our Luna Leggings were going, seeing the actual donation bags they were to be included, and hearing stories from Kendra about how the bags are received and appreciated by all the children in need was particularly eye-opening and memorable for all of us.
As part of our Holiday Collection sales, Luna Leggings partnered with the local non-profit organization, Project Night Night, which distributes ‘Night Night’ comfort bags of childhood essentials, free of charge, to over 25,000 homeless children every year. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children they serve.
Luna Leggings are being included in these comfort bags and specifically being donated to numerous shelters around the Bay Area, including some in San Francisco, Hayward and Marin County.
Founder Kendra is so inspiring- her uber-positive, energetic attitude and hands-on involvement has made her successful organization a key component to adding comfort to these children’s lives. Actually seeing the special bags she creates- the incredible supply of new blankets, books, and stuffed animals – gathered for the sake of these special kids is a true act of selflessness, kindness, and grace.
Luna Leggings is privileged to be a part of Project Night Night’s work!
